The NEW Bible Study Fellowship website is beautifully done and now live! All class leaders and members are encouraged to go to MyBSF.org and create an account with the email you used to register with BSF. There are so many benefits that include easier access to lessons WITH the notes, Home Training Lessons, Home Discussion Pages, and more. All the praises!

Tuesday Announcements for 5/2/18

Hey GLs! Three things: 1) turn in your GL Manual to Debbie or the Admin Team – if you haven’t already done so, 2) turn in your volunteer sheets for PotPL1 study to Debbie or the Admin Team, and 3) sit with your group for Share Day like you did at the start of this year.

Sharing is caring! How has the study of Romans changed you – your thinking, your faith walk, your obedience, your love for others, your dependence on God, your service, your heart, and your love for Christ Jesus? Share away!

Lesson 29 • Main Truth: God’s people love and help each other. • Scripture Verse: Romans 16:27 “To the only wise God be glory forever…!” • Bible story: This week the children learn that Paul, Aquila, and Priscilla work together and help each other giving glory to God.

This Wednesday is the an official Welcome Day. Invite ladies to come and get signed up for People of the Promised Land 1.

Lesson 28 • God works through His people • Romans 15:17 “Therefore I glory in Christ Jesus in my service to God.” • This week the children learn that Paul encourages new believers to support the Jews in Jerusalem (Acts 21).

Children’s area reminder!

Lesson 26 • God is the boss of His people. • Romans 14:17 “…The kingdom of heaven… is righteousness…in the Holy Spirit.” • This week the children learn that God tells Peter to go tell Cornelius about Jesus (Acts 10).

 

GLs, your groups will sign up the following Wednesday in class to volunteer for next year. A short video that highlights Children’s Area volunteer possibilities will be played during lecture. Encourage your ladies to not be late for this masterpiece marvel starring Tricia, some volunteer ladies, and some really cute kids! It’s sure to win awards, kudos – and hearts!

Lesson 24 • God puts people in charge of us. • Romans 13:1 “…Authorities … have been established by God.” • This week the children learn about:   After Mary and Joseph have searched for Jesus, they find him in the temple. He tells them He will leave His Father’s house to obey them.

Attention GLs: This is the last class day for registration for People of The Promised Land 1. Your class registration folders are due on April 2nd. Please verify that everyone’s birth month/year is correct. Also, check that their email address is not shared with anyone else registered in BSF. Thanks for your help in the details.

IMPORTANT LOCATION CHANGE! •All group leaders report to the upstairs loft for prayer time, lesson time, and training. •All Children’s Leaders report to the downstairs children’s area for prayer time, lesson time, and training. •All Admin Leaders report downstairs with the CLs for prayer time and lesson time; then move to a different room for training.

Start reminding the moms and grandmoms about Share Day and no childcare available.

There are only two more “official” Welcome Days to finish out Romans and sign up for People of the Promised Land, Part 1. Encourage your ladies to invite there female family members, friends, neighbors, school moms, college roommates, church members, childhood friends, and that lady that you chat with at the grocery/hair stylist/dry cleaners/nail salon/post office/department store. •Southcliff leaders, let prayerfully focus on inviting ladies to our Spanish Initiative program!

Meet Stacey Collier. “I am married to Patrick Collier for 14.5 years. We have three children: Hampton Jane (almost 8), Merrick Anne (4.5), and Fitz (2.5). My favorite BSF studies are Genesis and Moses. I love how real and relevant the Old Testament is to our lives thousands of years later! God is still very much the same God then and now – pretty incredible! I am an unassigned Group Leader and will sub when needed. Lots to learn!!! I am excited and nervous, but trusting God will show me they way.

Lesson 23 • Jesus tells his friends to love others. • Romans 12:9 “Love must be sincere. Hate what is evil; cling to what is good.” • This week the children learn about Jesus telling the story of the Samaritan who helped his “enemy”.

Meet our new CL! “Hello! My name is Christina Cowden and I am excited/nervous/scared to start in children’s leadership this week. After resisting the Lord’s call to join BSF for several years, I finally relented last year and joined for the study of John. This is my second year in BSF and I have loved every minute of it! It has been on my heart that I need to be doing something more for the Kingdom of God. A few weeks ago, I though to myself, “Well, if they ask me to do leadership at BSF I will consider it, but I certainly won’t raise my hand for it.” Of course, my sweet leader Karen Gray called me the next day and asked me to consider leadership! I just had to laugh when I hung up the phone from that conversation. I nervously said yes, but the Lord has grown my excitement for this role tremendously over the last couple of week, and I’m so excited to get started! I have been married for nearly 15 years. My husband and I have two rambunctious boys, Wynn (age 9) and Paden (age 7). We attend Christ Chapel Bible Church and run a small real estate investment company together. I can’t wait to get to know all of you wonderful ladies that devote your time to leadership in BSF. Thanks for having me!”
